About the Space Zone

Look up at night and you will see a whole lot of space out there. With less than 70 years of sending things into space under our belts, the future up above is almost limitless. And space has huge impacts on how we live our lives down here.

In this zone you’ll meet one engineer who has designed a satellite the size of a loaf of bread that can monitor the weather and another who uses satellites to guide driverless vehicles all around the world. You’ll also meet the Technical Lead at the UK Space Agency on launch and orbital missions and another engineer responsible for four satellites that take photos of the earth.
