  After living in the UK and missing out on some family events, my wife and I decided that we prefer living in the USA near our family. The culture in the UK is different than in my hometown, people are a little more reserved here.

  In Oregon, we have lots of outdoor activities and the seasons are “stronger”. There are also mountains, the ocean, lots of trees and lakes! Oregon has more land area (km^2) than the UK but only has 4 million people – so there’s a lot of space.
