• Question: If you could change one thing about how you got to your current position what would it be?

      I would have done something more fun with my free time after graduating, rather than taking the first job I could find, and then leaving it after a few months once I found this better job that was more relevant to my interests.

      I spent about 4 years doing odd jobs I didn’t really enjoy because I wanted to be an engineer. It wasn’t until I did my master’s and got into the space industry that I found something I really loved doing. If I could change anything, I’d have spent more time thinking about what I wanted to do with my life and career. Then again, my experiences have shaped me and I feel I am better for what I learnt during those four years.

      I think I would have taken some time working before starting my PhD. I jumped straight in from my undergraduate degree and I had no idea what I was doing. It took me a long time to be able to adjust and understand what I was there to do.
